The rapid transit system Lucknow Metro It started operating in September 2017 and is the quickest built metro system in the world. When completed the Metro will have two lines of almost 21 km long.

The city is one of the most cycle-friendly places in the country. There is a wide range of lanes linking different parts of Lucknow. And more tracks with bicycle rental spots will be constructed within next few years.

Landmarks and Recreation

Lucknow has a number of recreation zones and parks, one of which is the biggest in Asia. Artificially made ponds and lakes, jogging and cycling tracks, and rich breathtaking flora makeup unique places for rest and picnic purposes. The city houses a number of world wide known landmarks. Historical monuments like Turkish Gate and Bara Imambara, traditional Indian bazaars like Chowk, zoological gardens and foregoing parks make Lucknow an extremely popular tourist destination.
