MatchOffice was founded in 2004 by Hauke Haas and Jacob Dalhoff with the purpose of obtaining tenants for office hotels. Since then, we have extended MatchOffice and now we can be found in 19 countries.
For brokers, real estate companies and private providers, MatchOffice is a marketing platform that ensures maximum and targeted online profiling and ensures ongoing deliveries of qualified leads: more actual and potential tenants easier, faster and cheaper. In short, MatcOffice has created one single marketplace where tenants and landlords can easily and quickly come into contact with each other for the benefit of both parties.
In the spring, we decided to increase our focus on the market for meeting rooms. The demand and interest in renting meeting rooms reveal a potentially large market. The number of meeting rooms at Matchoffice has never been greater.
In March, we launched an addition to premises in the category 'shop'. It is now easy to see if the shop is suitable for being a cafe or restaurant.
In early March, we launched a new way to view our available rentals on the list view. By displaying rentals as a list, we have worked towards giving our visitors an even better overview of available business premises. Therefore, it is now possible to choose between displaying search results as either list, grid or map.
In May, we launched the Premium Partner concept, where providers can choose to display our partner badge on their ads and own website. They hereby show that they are trusted partners with MatchOffice.
To improve the quality of the leads we send to our providers, we also introduced a new point system called Quality Score. The system acts as a checklist on how to improve the quality of the ads on MatchOffice.
Our department in Ukraine gets a new and bigger office in Lviv. Furthermore, we expand by hiring several new Ukrainian colleagues. In Autumn our Danish department moved to their new office in Copenhagen.
In 2017 we completed the relaunch of all our platforms. This means we do now have the same visual identity on a global level.
We did also add coworking, meeting rooms and virtual offices to the list of local categories possible to advertise on MatchOffice.
In the fall, our management went on a trip to Beijing to meet some of our existing customers, gain inspiration for the market, and for team building purposes.
Late in the year we also launched a new design of the list view. The new design will make it even easier to book information about the leases.
At the beginning of the year, MatchOffice merges with its international sister company Lokalebasen.dk, and the company gets a total visual identity. Furthermore, we launched our Dutch site.
We are awarded a Google certificate that enables virtual tours of rentals through Google Street View. Later in the year, we will develop a feature along with Walkinto.in, which will allow you to view virtual tours in Virtual Reality.
Later in the year we set up an office in Finland and hire a full-time employee who, with his physical presence, will create greater value for our Finnish customers. In order to optimize and develop our online platform, we also establish a Ukrainian department with five software developers in Lviv.
At the beginning of the year, an independent Norwegian website of MatchOffice goes online. During the year, MatchOffice is set up in Finland, Spain and Poland. The Danish magazine Nine to Five is replaced by an electronic version, attracting the audience of more than 50,000 readers monthly.
In May, our website gets a new, contemporary design. In the coming months, the optimization of the website is done.
In August, we welcomed a French statistician, Arthur Katossky, who wrote his doctoral thesis with us.
Due to various organizational changes and increased personnel requirements, MatchOffice moves into a new office in Copenhagen's Osterbro district with modern facilities. We start using innovative agile project management methods such as Scrum. The roof of the office building is a part of an urban city park and houses four beehives, flower beds and a hen house.
We launch MatchOffice.se, managed as a Swedish joint stock company, with the aim of offering traditional lease agreements in Sweden. We become a part of an important agreement with Syrian Bank Audi and its more than 20 employees relocate to their new office in Istanbul.
MatchOffice's total offer covers approximately 4500 business centres in over 100 countries.
MatchOffice launches a few independent sites in different countries including India, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
For the first time, our company partners with an international investment agency Copenhagen Capacity during the international property event MIPIM in Cannes, France, at the beginning of March. At the same time, Lokalbasen.dk continues its expansion on Swedish market with the province of Skone.
At the beginning of 2012 the first issue of our magazine Nine to Five comes out. It has a circulation of 30 000. The copies are distributed in Copenhagen and its suburbs, which allows landlords to communicate information to a wide target audience.
Throughout the year we are making efforts to optimize the Internet presence. Among other things, MatchOffice begins to provide energy efficiency labels so that tenants can see the level of energy consumption in their office buildings. At the same time, MatchOffice is certified as having CO2-neutral status.
Lokalbasen.dk is converted into a stock corporation. The board of management consists of Lars Heilesen, Thomas W. Fæarch and Jakob Dalhoff. In the same year, an American employee is hired to introduce a series of marketing initiatives in the United States. As a result, we have 850 American business centres listed on our international website.
MatchOffice sets up an office in the UK and signs an international agreement with Regus. Under this agreement, MatchOffice offers business centres to rent in a large part of Africa and the Middle East. On February, the 1st, Lokalbasen.dk is launched and first advertisers appear on the website. In the same year, rental agreements start to be concluded from autumn.
MatchOffice hires a big number of employees for foreign projects and starts an expansion in the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Spain, Italy and France. In the same year, the Danish website Lokalbasen.dk is launched to deal with traditional leases.
A new, more user-friendly design is created for our website. In addition, MatchOffice is expanding to Germany, Austria and Finland.
MatchOffice is expanding its internet presence to Sweden and Norway during the year. The focus is on larger cities like Malmo, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo.
At the beginning of 2005, MatchOffice goes online with its Danish website. Within half a year, MatchOffice starts cooperation with half of all business centres in Denmark.
